We are pleased to announce the dates of the 5th Polish Film Festival in Perth! The Festival will kick off on Sunday 16 June and close on Sunday 7 July.
What's in store? An exceptional program of award winning and highly anticipated Polish feature films of 2019 and 2018, including seven Australian Premieres and two West Australian Premieres!
All films screen at the Palace Cinema Paradiso in English or with English subtitles.
Full program will be revealed on Monday 27 May when tickets will go on sale.

Polish Film Festival in Perth presents 2017 program!
Polish Film Festival in Perth is thrilled to present for the thrid time a celebration of exciting Polish cinema in Western Australia and announce the most comprehensive line up of films to date.
From MARIE CURIE (Maria Skłodowska-Curie), an inspirational biopic of one of the greatest scientists of all time that will open the 2017 Festival to SPOOR (Pokot), the Silver Bear winning thriller by the renowned three-time Oscar nominated director Agnieszka Holland, this year's event has something for everyone.
Highlights of 2017 program also include the critically acclaimed debut THE LAST FAMILY (Ostatnia Rodzina), with an endless list of awards received at major national and international film festivals, and AFTERIMAGE (Powidoki), the last film of the late Andrzej Wajda, a master of world cinema, recipient of an Honorary Oscar, the Palme d'Or, as well as Honorary Golden Lion and Golden Bear, who defined Poland as the centre of art-house cinema in Central Europe.
The 2017 Polish Film Festival is presented by Nicheliving and organised under the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of Republic of Poland in Sydney and with the support of many wonderful sponsors.

With the Sunday screening of 2015 film “Life Must Go On”, the 2nd Polish Film Festival in Perth has come to a close. We would like to thank our patrons for your attendance, creating a wonderful festival atmosphere and for your kind words about the programme and 2016 Festival in general!
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the event here in Australia and in Poland, including the Festival team of volunteers, individual supporters, key partners and sponsors.
The 2016 event was brought to you with the support of the Polish Film Institute, PRL Studio, ITVN, Summit Projects, Go Print, Consulate General of Republic of Poland in Sydney, CL Projects and Landmark Residential. The prizes for giveaways were provided by the Rendezvous Hotel in Perth, Ollas Soy Candles, Organique and Arbonne. Food for the Opening night was prepared with the help of local businesses Ludwik and Son and Rossmoyne Family Meats.
We would also like to thank filmmakers, actors, producers and distributors for their help in bringing the films to Perth and promoting them to the Western Australian audience, as well as Cinema Paradiso staff for their help with holding the event at the venue.
Our final thank you goes to wonderful photography support from Kasia Mazurkiewicz and Anne Marie Lopez. Images from the closing night of the Festival and other screenings are now available on our website.

The 2nd Polish Film Festival in Perth has officially kicked off at Cinema Paradiso last night!
Thank you to everyone for joining us at the Opening Night and the screening of a comedy-drama These Daughters of Mine. Thank you for such a wonderful turn up and a great vibe in the cinema. Congratulations to the winners of the Lucky Door Prize draw! 2016 FESTIVAL DATES ANNOUNCED

Polish Film Festival in Perth is pleased to announce the start of its 2nd annual film festival in the capital city of Western Australia. The event will be held at the Cinema Paradiso from 16 June to 3 July 2016.
After the success of the inaugural Polish Film Festival in Perth last year, the 2016 event brings another exciting program full of recent releases that will make you laugh, thrill, surprise and reflect.
Highlights of this year’s program include THESE DAUGHTERS OF MINE, a heart-warming drama about the strength of family ties, PLANET SINGLE, a spectacularly good rom-com and a smash hit of 2016, and WALPURGIS NIGHT, an outstanding feature debut that will remind you of the works of the greatest film masters. Screening alongside them are an award-winning thriller THE RED SPIDER, the box office stand out LETTERS TO SANTA 2 and a drama with Poland’s favourite actor, Tomasz Kot, LIFE MUST GO ON.

MORNING FLICKS FOR KIDS

Polish Film Festival in Perth presents a special screening for our youngest! For the first time in Perth on a big screen, a selection of old favourites from Poland. Bolek and Lolek, Reksio (Rex) and the newest production from Studio Movie Drawing in Bielsko - Biała, Kocidrapka (Xavier the Cat).
Do you remember the adventures of two creative brothers who are never bored? Or a little resourceful dog that is always willing to help others? The popular heroes won the hearts of millions of Poles. Let the kids enjoy these cartoon characters’ incredible adventures while you go on a sentimental journey yourself!
This two hour session is suitable for ages 2 to 7. All children under the age of 15 have to be accompanied by an adult. All films are non-dialogue. Food and drinks are not allowed at the Theatre.

"CARTE BLANCHE" WINS THE GRAND PRIZE AT SHANGHAI IFF

Great news comes from Shanghai just before our screening of CARTE BLANCHE in Perth. The 2015 film by Jacek Lusińsk has just won the Grand Prix of one the largest film festivals in Asia.
At the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival the jury, headed by the prominent director Andrey Zvyagintsev (Leviathan, The Return), unanimously granted the Jury Grand Prix to CARTE BLANCHE.
Inspired by true events CARTE BLANCHE is a story about respected high school teacher who hides his progressing blindness to fulfill his educational duty and help students with end of school exams. The film was shot almost entirely in Lublin and it features contemporary city with characteristic trolleybuses and beautiful Old Town.

Over its 18 years it has developed a reputation as Australia's leading independent film event and continues to actively advocate for Australian screen culture practice in a still conservative exhibition environment.
Revelation also includes a unique Academic component, industry discussion sessions, masterclasses, visual art exhibitions and other hybrid activity generated by the event or independent curators. Revelation always welcomes independently curated or initiated programs and ideas.
