Join us on the closing night of the festival for the unmissable VINCI 2.

From legendary Polish director Juliusz Machulski — the mastermind behind cult classics Vabank, Sexmission, and Kiler — comes the highly anticipated legacy sequel to his 2004 smash hit Vinci. Featuring an all-star cast including Robert Więckiewicz, Marcin Dorociński, Łukasz Simlat and Borys Szyc, it is a stylish, high stakes heist movie with Machulski’s signature blend of humour, suspense and clever twists.

Two decades after leaving the world of art heist behind, legendary thief Robert "Cuma" is enjoying a quiet life on the sunny Spanish coast — until an old friend appears with a proposition too tempting to resist. Initially reluctant, Cuma is persuaded by his wife Carmen to return to Cracow for one last job. But once there, he discovers the plan is already in motion and led by a new generation of thieves. With his pride wounded and the stakes sky-high, Cuma assembles an unlikely crew including his old partner and a disgraced ex-cop to stop the heist before it happens.

VINCI 2 is a slick, suspenseful, and wildly entertaining return to the art of the steal — where old pros face off against young wolves in a high-stakes game of wits, tricks, and double-crosses.

JULIUSZ MACHULSKI

Director, screenwriter, and producer Juliusz Machulski is one of the most well known figures in Polish cinema. His directorial debut, Vabank, quickly became a box office hit, while his cult classic Sexmission drew over 12 million viewers in Poland within a year of its release, securing its place as the most popular Polish comedy of all time. Machulski’s historical drama Squadron, which he wrote, directed, and produced, was Poland’s official submission to the 1993 Academy Awards. He also produced Agnieszka Holland’s In Darkness, nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2012 Oscars.

Machulski is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including six Golden Lions at the Gdynia Film Festival, the Crystal Globe at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Polish Film Academy Eagles, the Warsaw Mermaid from the Polish Journalists Association.

"This is the best Machulski film in years… A worthy, well-crafted sequel that remains loyal to the spirit of the original." — Interia

“'Vinci 2' isn’t trying to replicate the original. Instead, it builds something new on its foundations... Robert Więckiewicz isn’t returning to the role—he’s reclaiming it.” — Strefa Art
