A noir-style murder mystery based on the true story that occurred in Cracow in the 1950s, where an ambitious young detective confronts the most infamous serial killer of the 20th century.

Over 60 people have gone missing in Cracow. A young and ambitious detective, Karski (Tomasz Schuchardt) puts forward the hypothesis that this is the work of a serial killer. His superiors do not support his suspicions, especially when the main suspect turns out to be Władysław Mazurkiewicz (Andrzej Chyra), a respected citizen with surprising connections. Handsome Władek, as he is known to many, is the king of life, charming, wealthy womanizer with a murky past. The more Karski digs into the case the more difficulties he encounters, finding himself mired in the intrigue, police corruption and political red tape of post-war Poland. Evidence and case files disappear. People he trusted turn against him, and if this is not enough, a beautiful, mysterious woman appears on the scene.

Władysław Mazurkiewicz is not only an infamous Polish legend, but also a phenomenon on a global scale. He appears in the register of the most famous serial killers in history. Unlike other serial killers, he only killed people he knew. Rubbing shoulders with Cracow's social elite, he took advantage of their shady dealings by setting up lucrative deals, only to then murder them after pocketing their wealth.
