An entertaining new comedy from Antonio Galdamez about a married couple on the verge of divorce presented with an unexpected chance to experience a day-in-the-life as one another.
What if you could learn what it is like to be, literally, in your partner’s shoes? Kasia and Krzysiek are a married couple in their early 30s, raising their 6-year-old son Tadzio. Overwhelmed by the daily responsibilities of working parents they fail to notice how their marriage is drifting apart until it is almost too late.
Krzysiek works long hours at a corporate job neglecting his family. Kasia toils away at a kindergarten while also taking care of their son and home, at the same time not looking well after herself. Frustrated and constantly quarreling spouses finally end up in marriage therapy but it doesn’t seem to help. Then, just when they decide to divorce, fate turns their lives completely upside down giving them a chance to see their problems from a new perspective when they mysteriously switch bodies.

"If I didn't know that "If I were you" is director Antonio Galdamez's feature and full-length debut, I probably wouldn't have guessed it. It's because in the cinema I saw: a well-conducted intrigue, a well-chosen cast that plays with a nice comedic flair, but does not go to extremes or exaggeration. ANTONIO GALDAMEZ
was born on 14 January 1983 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland. He is an actor and assistant director, known for Noamia (2020), The Residential Home (2014) and Na twoim miejscu (2023). Director and screenwriter. Studied Philosophy at the University of Warsaw and Film and Television Directing at Lodz Film School. Author of over a dozen student feature and documentary films. He’s currently working on his full-length feature debut.
