Polish Film Festival in Perth presents a special screening for our youngest! For the first time in Perth on a big screen, a selection of old favourites from Poland. Bolek and Lolek, Reksio (Rex) and the newest production from Studio Movie Drawing in Bielsko - Biała, Kocidrapka (Xavier the Cat).  


Do you remember the adventures of two creative brothers who are never bored? Or a little resourceful dog that is always willing to help others? The popular heroes won the hearts of millions of Poles. Let the kids enjoy these cartoon characters’ incredible adventures while you go on a sentimental journey yourself!


This two hour session is suitable for ages 2 to 7. All children under the age of 15 have to be accompanied by an adult. All films are non-dialogue. Food and drinks are not allowed at the Theatre.


Morning Flicks for Kids, Saturday 25 July, 10.30am, State Library of Western Australia, Northbridge.

Great news comes from Shanghai just before our screening of CARTE BLANCHE in Perth. The 2015 film by Jacek Lusińsk has just won the Grand Prix of one the largest film festivals in Asia.


At the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival the jury, headed by the prominent director Andrey Zvyagintsev (Leviathan, The Return), unanimously granted the Jury Grand Prix to CARTE BLANCHE.


Inspired by true events CARTE BLANCHE is a story about respected high school teacher who hides his progressing blindness to fulfill his educational duty and help students with end of school exams. The film was shot almost entirely in Lublin and it features contemporary city with characteristic trolleybuses and beautiful Old Town.


CARTE BLANCHE screens in Perth Monday, 6 July at 6.30 PM at Cinema Paradiso

We're thrilled to announce that “BODY/CIAŁO” will be the opening film at the first Polish Film Festival in Perth – winner of the Silver Bear Award at this year's Berlin International Film Festival for Best Director – Małgorzata Szumowska and Best Actor - Janusz Gajos at Kino Pavasaris International Film Festival.


Touching, light in tone and beautifully nuanced film about the inextricable link between mind and body. "Body" explores various approaches to our relationship with our body and our sensory experience of the world.

The Polish Film Festival in Perth is delighted to announce the launch of its program

We have been very busy putting the event together and planning an exciting line up of films. We can’t wait to bring contemporary Polish cinema to Perth and share it with you at the first Polish Film Festival in Perth. 

And what do we have to offer you this year? A selection of award-winning films and some gripping new releases that you simply have to see. Winner of a Silver Bear at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival Body, winner of Grand Prix, Audience Award and Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at 37th Montreal World Film Festival Life Feels Good, winner of Main Prize Best Film at Cottbus Film Festival Women's Day, one of the most expensive Polish film projects Warsaw 44  as well as Carte Blanche, a beautiful story inspired by true events about a respected high school teacher who hides his progressing blindness in order to fulfill his educational duty and help students with end of school exams.

The Polish Film Festival in Perth organised in partnership with Revelation Festival

We are very pleased to announce our partnership with the Revelation Perth International Film Festival  that is hosting us this year.


Revelation Film Festival is one of the longest running international film festivals in Australia, now in its 18th year. Each year it presents over 120 films from around the world and attracts over 12,000 patrons and 50 national and international guests over 10 days. Over its 18 years it has developed a reputation as Australia's leading independent film event and continues to actively advocate for Australian screen culture practice in a still conservative exhibition environment.


Revelation also includes a unique Academic component, industry discussion sessions, masterclasses, visual art exhibitions and other hybrid activity generated by the event or independent curators. Revelation always welcomes independently curated or initiated programs and ideas.  


We are very excited to launch the Polish Film Festival in Perth in concert with such a prestigious festival.
